Even though the phrase “one-hour musical comedy on FOX” doesn’t exactly inspire confidence, this TV Addict is giddy with anticipation when it comes to Ryan Murphy’s (NIP/TUCK) new series GLEE (Or as we’re calling it: FREAKS & GEEKS goes High School Glee Choir.) Meet a few of the reasons why: Jessalyn Gilsig (NIP/TUCK), Jane Lynch (BEST IN SHOW), Matthew Morrison (Broadway’s HAIRSPRAY), Jayma Mays (HEROES) and Cory Monteith (KYLE XY).

This looks great and I love Ryan Murphy. I think Famke Janssen was supposed to be in this show but now she’s gonna be in the L word spinoff.

After that really bad musical show in Vegas from last year, I just don’t know if I can try something like this again. I also fear that this will be a little too “High School Musical”.

Hi Ace, the show is from Ryan Murphy of Nip/Tuck fame. It will definately not be in the vain of High School Musical. Though it may be a lil bit like Popular, which had its own unique twist to it. Can’t wait for it to come out!

I think it looks like a cross between high school musical, fame and 13. the guy in the wheelchair like the cripple in 13? ugh. I am excited for matthew morrison, victor garber, kristen chenoweth (who will have a recurring role) and lea michele…perhaps more broadway kids will make it to the show too….glad it’s focusing on singing!!
