Tonight’s TV Addictions: January 23, 2009
January 23rd, 2009
WHAT WE’RE WATCHING:
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS (9PM NBC, Global in Canada)
If Dillon High is anything like this TV Addict’s alma matar, we have a feeling that Tyra’s path to her high school’s Presidency might not be as easy as one might expect. We’re just saying that sometimes being a beautiful blond isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Tyra will lose the “guy vote” because she’s a walking blond stereotype, while the girls won’t vote for her because they secretly resent her hotness. Its FHCI’s 2000 election all over again!
FLASHPOINT (9PM CBS, CTV in Canada)
Find out why the co-creator of FLASHPOINT (@Flashpoint_TV) twittered that, “Tonight’s FLASHPOINT a personal favourite. Hugh Dillon is splendid. Absolutely splendid.”
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (10PM SciFi, Space in Canada)
Next stop “New” Earth (Fingers crossed!)
NEW & NOTABLE:
CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (8PM TNT)
See the movie that inspired CHUCK’s fantastic opening credits.
20/20 (10PM ABC)
You don’t need to watch tonight’s 20/20 for advice on how to survive a life-and-death plane crash. Just make sure your pilot is this guy.
HOWIE DO IT (8PM NBC, Global in Canada)
We don’t care.

I just wanted to say, you know my rant about how I hate the commercials for the DTV switch? Well apparently the Senate is trying to pass a bill to move the date for the switch back b/c 6.5 million people still aren’t ready. America’s procrastination has gotten us in trouble yet again
. Where is Obama when you reeeally need him? Does this mean more commercials??
