Alyssa: I continue to be baffled by your insistence that we stop using a "decade-old" term. Isn't the whole point of phrases such as this one that they become part of the national language and debate, and allow an instant short hand? Isn't coming up with a "new term" just starting the same cycle... everyone adapts it, it becomes shorthand, then someone gets "bored" with it and suggests we start from scratch?

That said... the floor is yours. We'll happily accept any and all alternative phrases, and then throw them into casual conversation here on the site and see how people react!

I'm not so sure a guest appearance by Torri Higginson (Who?) qualifies as either New and/or Notable! :)

New episode of NCIS tonight on CBS too. Torri Higginson, who was on Stargate Atlantis; reprises her NCIS role as Dr. Jordan Hampton. TVaddict should really try watching this series.

LOL @ CT's comment about "Homeland Security" and the guy being from tn. LOL I'm from Tn and find that hilarious. Of course, I made sure I was noted living in Tx now. LOL As for a new car being a major plot point on 90210, what year is this? 1950? I'm done. No more 9021 crappy OH. Not even Kelly and Brenda can get me to watch this crap no more. Over and done. First TV Guide and now me, will America follow? Now I know the C in CW means crappy. Took me long enough.

I don't know why but I can't get into Sage being interested in Louis on Privileged. It just doesn't seem very Sage-like.

For Nip/Tuck, I think you mean Christian not Sean.

Shark Alert! is much better but I still think that we can find a phrase that isn't nearly a decade old.
