The TV Addict Reveals His Halloween Scares II

October 28th, 2008

With Halloween mere days away, this TV Addict thought now would be the perfect opportunity to talk about what scares us in the world of television. So without further ado, we present our Halloween Scare #2: NBC President Ben Silverman.

Not only did the Peacock President further contribute to the dumbing down of America by renewing KNIGHT RIDER for an entire season, he green-lit the snoozefest that is CRUSOE and further hurt America’s standing around the world with the dreadful adaptation of Australia’s hit comedy KATH & KIM.

Yesterday’s Halloween Scare: Amy Poehler.

hi tv addict! this has nothing to do with the post but i was wondering if u knew any good websites for outside of the US for watching new full episodes of shows. thanks!

John Says:

Isn’t NBC’s KATH & KIM an AMERICAN adaptation of an Australian show?

theTVaddict Says:

John,

Thanks for the correction. I’ve correct the post to reflect what I meant to say!

Vance Says:

Did you hear that Will Arnet’s character in 30 Rock is based on him. (and 3 other characters are partially based on him too)

Linda B. Says:

I was one of the few that watched the 2 hr premiere of Crusoe. It was sooooo boring (as you stated).

Josh Emerson Says:

He called 30 Rock the best show on TV a few months ago, so he’s just fine with me. NBC also renewed Chuck for the full season before it even premiered, which is another great thing. I have no complaints so far!

Nick Says:

Anyone else wonder how the world’s biggest buffoons wind up running TV networks? I submit Silverman, Moonves and Ostroff as Exhibits A, B and C.
