I don’t know, I don’t feel like I’ve turned gay. Besides, you’d be surprised how many professional NBA players sing and dance with their basketballs. I heard Michael Jordan could put Gene Kelly to shame, and Lebron James is a veritable Fred Astaire.

It is often during ‘hard economic times’ that people (adults and kids alike) need escapism. This seems to be the perfect fit and the perfect time. And sharing w/ a beloved family member is cool in my book. =) Kudos TVA.

Haha, I am going with a group of up around 13 people to the movie at 9:45 at night, probably the least High School Musical-like environment to see the film in but I simply cannot wait

Hey Corruption, SPOILER ALERT MUCH!

Not all of us have seen the movie yet, especially since our two friends that we were planning on seeing the movie with bailed… and yes you know who you are… furthermore, you suck.

You’re right, you certainly need a high tolerance for saccharine and sap, but I figure if any TV fans of “Pushing Daisies” can get through that, they’ll be okay with this. Also to me, the unapologetic sappiness is somehow part of HSM’s charm.

I kind of anticipated that the Troy/Gabriella conflict would be resolved somehow, just not quite that way. (Note to self: stand in trees more often). My niece on the other hand – based on the trailers – was extremely worried about them going into the movie. I was glad to see she worried for nothing.

As for the scholarship awards, yeah, all of them would be too much. Though I was genuinely surprised by Sharpay’s fate…

You’re right. This is a truly fun movie, coming from another male adult (30, in this case). You do have to be able to tolerate saccharine and sap, though.

That said, I’m impressed at how deftly they resolved the Troy/Gabriella conflict and felt pretty dumb when I didn’t realize the simplicity and obviousness of the solution ahead of time.

Also glad that they didn’t succumb to giving all four prospects Juilliard admissions. THAT would have been too much, even for HSM.
