Ok this is my confession. I had refused to watch the Mentalist, out of solidarity and protest. I felt that the writers stole the idea of the show blatantly from PSYCH, and didn’t want to support a show that was taking away the recognition PSYCH should be getting. But it was a boring afternoon, I was on the CBS website and thought I’ll kill an hour watching the show and making fun of it afterwards. Boom, surprise! It’s great. I mean really good! Not like Psych, because it is much darker, but has a great rhythm of its own. I have to tell people to watch it. You’ll like it, even when you don’t want to.
