I saw the pre-air and I have to say I’m disappointed. The first ten minutes are amazing, but then… the characters have no personality, the story was too much like X-Files, and what the heck was “Pacey” there for?

Wow, I’m just surprised that the either show got Fox to give them more show less advertising time. That’s a feat in and of itself.

I personally don’t get the comparison to The X-Files. There isn’t that believer/skeptic thing going on and to my knowledge I don’t think one of the two leads is an FBI agent. *shrugs* Fringe reminds me more of certain aspects of Alias more than anything else. I think the people making comparisons perhaps don’t know The X-Files very well either.

At the May upfronts, Fox announced that both Fringe and Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse would both run with reduced commercial minutes.
