And by the way, I wanted to add that if William Shatner wins AGAIN, the Emmys are dead to me.

Aleks Says:

Glad to see that you think Sarah Silverman deserves a nod too.

Haya Says:

I agree with all of your choices, with exception of Sandra Oh. I think she definitely deserves a nomination.

Tim G. Says:

No Yunjin Kim, Elizabeth Mitchell or Henry Ian Cusick.

Stupid Emmy voters.

Christina Says:

Why, oh why do the Emmys keep on rejecting BSG?! Just because it happens to take place in space and have robots doesn’t automatically mean it sucks!

Mark Says:

All I really cared about was that Michael Emerson got on the ballot again. Upset Henry Ian Cusick didn’t get on.

Bring on the top 10 Lead Drama Actor/Actress Categories, Academy!

Todd W in NC Says:

I’ll agree that Yunjin Kim and Elizabeth Mitchell from Lost should not have been snubbed again. As for BSG actors, particularly Olmos and McDonnell, they should be considered in the Lead categories not Supporting. So, maybe there’s still hope.

I’m very glad to see Michael Emerson from Lost and Christian Clemenson from Boston Legal on the list, and I’m okay with Naveen Andrews too. This may not be a popular opinion, but I’m also glad to see William Shatner on the list again. I might even be okay with him winning, although I think Emerson or Clemenson deserve it more. As for T.R. Knight, I’m growing very tired of his character — his mannerisms, his speech patterns, his storyline, etc. So, I’m afraid I’m not very objective as to the pure quality of his performance.

As for the women, I’m also glad to see Candice Bergen’s nod. That was a powerful episode for her, so she’s my personal pick. If a convincing American accent is considered as part of the performance, Rachel Griffiths ought to be a strong contender. Her acting is great enough as it is, but you’d never know she is actually Australian. Chandra Wilson is, of course, always strong too, even though I don’t like much of the material she’s given to work with (sometimes bad dialogue; always great delivery). But, I will always be confused as to how Sandra Oh keeps making this list. She’s good enough, but she never blows me away.

Josh Emerson Says:

My top picks of the semifinalists…
Comedy Actress: Tina Fey, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Sarah Silverman
Supporting Drama Actor: I honestly don’t care. I suppose Michael Emerson deserves to make the Top 5.
Supporting Drama Actress: Rachel Griffiths, Chandra Wilson

I want sharon Gless to win!

Laura Says:

william wilson Says:
