MEN IN TREES Cancelled

May 4th, 2008

With this evening’s unfortunate news [courtesy of TV Guide's Michael Ausiello] that MEN IN TREES run on television has been officially cut short by ABC, this TV Addict thought it only appropriate to rerun our recent edition of ‘The Backlot.’

Thanks to reader Todd W in NC for the Tip!

Nathan Says:

this is disappointing. i thought abc were better than this. men in trees was actually a pretty great show. not compared to a lot of shows on tv right now but it was solid and it was heartwarming. it was a happy show. we don’t have many of those. so shame on you abc, shame on you.

CC Says:

This sucks. I am so angry and sad. For people who gave Men in Trees a chance its clear what a wonderful show it is. Atleast fans will get a semi proper series finale, but still. Sigh. Another one bites the dust.

Todd W in NC Says:

It’s getting to the point that other networks are just as bad about premature cancellations as Fox used to be with sci-fi shows.

Let’s see what the body count is so far in the 2007-2008 season:

– Drive: A *much*-hyped summer show cancelled by Fox after four episodes aired with two other produced eps never aired.
– Journeyman: Cancelled despite being one of the better shows of the this past season with just barely enough warning to turn the season/pre-strike hiatus finale into a quasi-series finale.
– Kid Nation: While nothing definite has been declared yet, a 2nd season feels extremely unlikely.
– The 4400: Announced a few months ago that the show was cancelled and would not be returning this summer, it never got closure to its excellent 4th season cliff-hanging finale.
– The Dead Zone: Admittedly not a great loss, but it’s just another sign of the harshly swinging axe.
– Bionic Woman: Granted, this one actually deserved cancellation, but it’s still disappointing that the show didn’t live up to expectations in the first place.
– Jericho: Cancelled a 2nd time (although CBS deserves some credit for resurrecting it and allowing it some closure).
– Men In Trees: A great show, persistently mistreated with bad & wandering time slots.
– While there’s been no news yet, I just have a bad feeling that the surprisingly intriguing New Amsterdam won’t make it to a 2nd season. I hope I’m wrong.

On top of that… Boston Legal (which has done some of its best work in at least the last three weeks) has been moved, an early sign of a questionable future. I feel Ugly Betty, Brothers & Sisters, and Heroes have all had uneven 2nd seasons. Even Stargate: Atlantis had some oddly disappointing episodes, Grey’s Anatomy continues to annoy, Private Practice turned out to be mediocre, and I’m the only person on the planet who hated Pushing Daisies.

On the bright side, there’s Chuck, Moonlight (although it’s probably on the bubble too), Women’s Murder Club (bubble), and the Sarah Connor Chronicles. And, Lost is having a very redemptive 4th season. Battlestar Galactica has been weird — but intriguing. Allegedly, The Shield and maybe even Rescue Me will return sometime in the next decade as well.

But, still… Factoring in the negatives, I’m worried about TV. I feel we hit the renaissance of TV in the fall of 2004, and it’s been gradually downhill since then as good shows go bad or get cancelled before having the chance to get good (or right after they get good). I’m hesitant to even start watching a new show because of the unlikeliness that it will last long.

Naf Says:

I think we forget that networks need to make money, so if a show isn’t being watched, the network has no choice but to cancel it. Take Drive, for example. Fox advertised the hell out of it, but it still bombed in the ratings. Nobody watched Journey Man, or Kid Nation, despite them being pretty great. Television shows are just too expensive now to give them a season or so to build an audience. Could the networks do a better job at scheduling? Of course they can. Men In Tree’s was moved around so many times that I’m not even sure what do it was on. ABC are probably right that it will never build an audience now.

This has been a rocky year for TV, but I blame the strike. Brothers and Sisters had some great episodes before the strike started, and Private Practice showed some promise. Greys Anatomy is finally getting good again, last weeks episode was the best in a long while. Heroes had a piss poor second season, but I blame NBC for forcing the show to do too many things.

Linda B. Says:

I’m wondering what Men in Trees getting cancelled means for the future of Eli Stone. Is ABC making room on their fall schedule for it, or is the axe about to fall on this great show too?

Also, did anyone see the preview they showed for Moonlight after Friday’s episode? Did it seem kinda final to anyone – like this is your last chance to see new episodes? I thought the show was doing well in the ratings. I hope it gets renewed too.

Rajeev Iyer Says:

ELi Stone is absolutely briliant, and I cannot understand why it has been getting middling to low ratings. For a family friendly, feel good show, perhaps, it should be set earlier than 10 PM, to appeal to those people jonesing for the next Joan of Aracadia, Touched by an angle or even a Quantum Leap. I love this show, and am desperately hoping that we get a new season, complete with more wonderful songs, and Spy Daddy (Victor Garber)

Nancy F Says:

Why do the TV networks pull the “warm fuzzie” shows. They may not want to be happy but your viewers do…or is it all about advertisers and money. With gas prices going through the roof its gong to be a long summer….will we ever know what happens to Cash?Marin?Jack? and the rest of the cast. I hope the show returns….give them another chance. I’m tired of the wasted energy that goes into the shootem up, blood and gore.

EvieD Says:

I am shocked by ABC’s decision to axe Men in Trees. As mentioned, the fact that it was shuffled around more than once was a sign to me that ABC didn’t really care about the show and/or the fans of the show. Plus the fact that it was taken off the air for lengthy periods of time with no explanation as to where it went and/or why it went. (I am not talking about the writers strike either) @@ Way to go ABC, way to go.

Lfuif Says:

I am furious!! ABC sucks!! This is such a great show and they never gave it chance!!

Dennis H. Says:

Yet again another idiotic decision by the American Bungling Company! Perhaps they are trying to make room for another of those intelligent reality shows? MIT was NEVER given a chance, especially with all the ridiculous time slot juggling!! So… another quality series dies, just like Everwood and all the others…as another poster says: SHAME ON YOU ABC! Shame on you!!!

Cyndi Reynolds Says:

I can’t bellieve this!!!! Every time there is a good show you screw it up.
Everyone at works watched this show. I guess it is not even worth
watching TV anymore. All that is on is kids singing and people dancing.
ABC really sucks !!!!

tnprincie Says:

YOU GUYS ARE NUTS! ONE OF THE MOST ENTERTAINING SHOWS ON TV. KEEP THIS UP AND WE WON’T WATCH ANYTHING ON THIS NETWORK.

BOO FOR ABC. WISH SIMON OR LEN COULD GIVE YOU A RATING, BECAUSE THEY WOULD PROBABLY BE RIGHT ON!

cathy Says:

Would be great if LifeTime, Oxygen or another station could pick up the show. I’ll follow where ever it goes.

Janet Says:

Men in Trees was one of the most entertaining shows on television. There was no reality competition, no singing and dancing but actual romantic characters. The characters were all charming and so was the setting. There is nothing on television to watch. I may just cancel my cable all together and just rent or buy the DVD’s that appeal to me. ABC has gone way down hill. Wouldn’t you like to be back on top??? Air more shows like Men in Trees or better yet put it back on.

Shirley Says:

ABC: Are you dumb-to-death???? Read any of the above comments!!!! I like the idea of Oxygen or Lifetime picking up Men in Trees, or even CW, or any other network, which will give me one more reason to cut ABC off!!! What will your advertisers do then??? I was surprised at the new shows “on the bubble” that I really enjoy, so, if they go, so do I!

Susan D. Says:

Please, please keep this series going!!! Men in Trees is a show that highlights friends caring about others in their community. Good people. Romance. No swearing. No violence. Gorgeous scenery. Great background music. So many of us have stuck with our beloved “new” show. We have had to continuously search our cable guides to see when it would air next. I have never missed a show! I’ll keep checking in and hoping another network will show better judgment about this wonderful program and evolving story.

Shirley Clark Says:

I am so sorry to hear Men In Trees was cancelled, as I sure looked forward to seeing it each week. It was a clean, fun show with happy endings which we just don’t see anymore. Why can’t we have clean shows? Give it a chance and put it back on the air!

CLM Says:

I have lost faith in the ABC network. Do they care anything about its viewers and their wishes for quality programming? I am very disappointed that ABC cancelled “Men in Trees.” ABC really dropped the ball on this show. First, by constantly moving it around to different days/times, so no one was able to find it. And secondly, they air a handful of episodes and then they would put the show on hiatus. They never gave this show a chance. And, yet ABC still manages to keep airing stupid shows such as “The Batchelor,” “Here Comes The Newlyweds” and “Cavemen.” Just who is running that network? Because, seriously ABC needs to reexamine its priorities and hire someone who recognizes quality shows.

I don’t understand why one of the best shows to T.V. was taken off the air. The trash that is one every channel is appauling, one good, clean, and funny show and it is taken off.Do the people that are ABC hane no sense of humor? Dose it always have to be blood, guts and gore?

Katherine m ferris Says:

I am so, so disappointed. I have been waiting for the return of this show. Just as I believed I could begin to count on seeing Men In Trees, again, it is cancelled. This was one of the most entertaining, unique shows around. Bring it BACK.

Marge Oliphant Says:

There has never been a show so jerked around as MEN IN TREES. Day of the week, hour shown, cancelled, not cancelled, not tonight – there is a special. ABC has not been fair to anyone connected with the program, least of all, the viewers. If the network is worried about numbers and dollars, show a program same night, same time, 90% of the weeks!

Jen M. Says:

I just found out. I loved men in trees. It was light, funny, and an easy watch. I looked forward to it. This is the second show I lost this season. I was a big Jericho fan. I am scared to give a new show a chance. Shows don’t get a break before they cancel them. Why bother putting them out in the first place?

I really don’t want to here some sob story about networks needing to make money and it is just too expensive to make scripted television. BULL!!! Does anyone really believe that networks aren’t making any money? I have a feeling they are doing just fine. Truth of the matter, reality TV costs next to nothing to produce. All they care about is a quick buck not quality television. Until people get sick of (and stop watching) reality TV, a lot more good television shows will die a quick death. Maybe it is time to boycott network television.

Jessica Says:

I HATE THIS! I seems like they take all the episodes I like! First “Related”, then “Everwood”, NOW “Men in Trees”. Why do they keep taking all the shows that contain heartwarming characters and feel good story lines. I am just so disappointed with ABC. While the writer’s strike was happening, I was not watching TV as much. I may go back to that if they keep pulling GREAT series!!!!!

Trish Says:

I hate that they cancelled MIT! I love this show! I actually laugh out loud at the storyline. TV isn’t funny anymore. My parents and I call to remind each other that it is on. I am so sick of the reality shows and the super dramas. I didn’t know they cancelled it until I read these blogs. It has been all over the place with the day and time that it is offered so I was hoping that this was just another “bump in the road” and it would be back soon. Each week I turn into nothing but disapointment. Thanks ABC for taking off ONE of the only shows on TV that I faithfully watch each week. #$$#%!

C&LD Says:

At first I just thought my DVR messed up, then I thought they must have moved it to another day or time… I go online to find out it’s been cancelled! How disapointng ABC! Men In Trees was a wonderful, feel good, laugh out loud, one of a kind shows and now its gone!?!? Bring it back! It was one of a few things we really enjoyed during the work week! We don’t watch much TV as it is….

Stephanie Says:

ABC, you got it wrong. This show is incredible – a good mix of comedy, drama and GOOD WRITING AND ACTING. This is a show I DVR and watch over and over. Please, no more reality shows. No more “stars” dancing. Keep the great ones like Men In Trees and Eli Stone on. At least let them find their footing by giving them a chance with a solid time slot.

Susan Says:

I just found out that Men In Trees has been cancelled. I’m so upset! I loved this show. It was my favorite. It was quirky, sweet and funny. It reminded me of a new version of Northern Exposure. ABC really didn’t give this show a fair shake. ABC DID get this wrong!!!

Donna Says:

Is anyone really surprised? Men In Trees was a show that was smart, funny, warm and enjoyable. God knows ABC and TV Executives in general cannot leave anything worth watching on air for us to look forward to each week. Not when tabloid television rules the schedule. If there isn’t T&A or car crashes in every other scene, ABC and TV Executives thinks it’s a loser. Men In Trees had original story lines and excellent actors that played characters you genuinely cared about. I could care less about dancing stars and tone-deaf singers. YUCK! When people say that there is never anything good on TV, they can thank the braniacs at ABC for contributing to that statement. ABC you are a true disappointment to American viewers.

Kathleen Says:

Why would ABC cancel Men in Trees? There are so few quality, funny, well written shows out there! Almost everyone I talked to listed Men in Trees as one of their favorite shows this season. Maybe it’s time to give up on TV and just rent DVDs. Won’t someone PLEASE pick it up?! We need quality TV.

AJ Says:

i’m so mad. I loved that show, who’s the idiot that CANCELLED it???
They take away shows that are great like “Men in Trees” and leave other shows that are so crappy to say the least. So again who’s the moran that let a good thing go. Now we’ll never know the fate of Jack and Marin and Buzz or anyone else. NICE GOING ABC! Maybe you should put someone else in charge of all TV Series decisions. Like ME, or the next Tom, Dick or Harry, because it obvious WE can do a better job at it.
ABC YOU SUCK BIG TIME>>>……

Lee Says:

Well !!! ABC.. this is a great show. I do not understand why you would let it go. This just suck. Hope some one else will pick this show.

abby Says:

I can’t believe Men in Trees has been cancelled. I have watched every show even with ABC moving it around all over It’s funny, quirky, and well written how many shows can we say that about. This was one of the few shows I watched on ABC. What’s next Dirty Sexy Money??? Then I will quit watching ABC.

Tony Says:

ABC, you suck.
There are only 2 shows I watch on tv and Men In Trees is one of them. I finaly find a show that I can relate to, and you take it away from me…shame on you.

Sarah Says:

I have never voiced my opinion in a blog, but I feel compelled to with the news of Men in Trees being cancelled. I really love this show and go out of my way to watch it. Some of my favorites have gotten cancelled lately: Related, Gilmore Girls, What About Brian, etc. This sucks!

Carole Says:

If ABC would have quit moving Men in Trees around and then not showing it for weeks at a time I do believe it would have been your #1 show. It was cute, quirky, happy, great cast and poof – you cancel it – what a shame, it was a great show. I hope you change your minds and bring it back, one of the few shows I looked forward to watching each week.

shaunda Says:

y have you done this abc. men in trees was very entertaining, and funny, give them another shot

Bill Schworer Says:

No wonder cable is beating the hell out of broadcast.
Men in trees was special.

ABC is as now as bad as FOX

ABC sucks

Carissa Says:

I can not believe Men in Trees have been cancelled. I barely found out today. I loved that show so much I always looked forward to watchin it when it was on a certain day. I don’t know why they didn’t put it behind a big show to give it some push.. I mean I know they didn’t cancel this show for Pushing Daisy’s that show is dumb.. I am highly pissed.. I will definitely miss the cast..

Sam Says:

What a STUPID mistake it was to cancel this show! BOYCOTT ABC and its sponsors, and send them all a message about our dissatisfaction!!! They ignored us as fans and took away our show, so let’s ignore them right back.

Judy Says:

SAY IT ISN’T TRUE! Men In Trees IS my favorite show on TV. The writing, acting, characters, and location shots are superb. Please, ABC, bring back this show — it was as heartwarming and funny as another one-of a kind show: M*A*S*H. I’m hoping you will be releasing DVDs of the 2 1/2 (?) seasons — they will be watched in my home.

Lora Says:

this is very disappointing news. the good stuff always get canceled and shows like the office get to stay on tv. WE WANT IT BACK ON THE AIR!!!!

Val Says:

I, too, am greatly disappointed and cannot understand why they would cancel such a terrific show as Men in Trees. Well, ya know, if someone out there whose got any clout would make a movie with the same actors/actresses I just bet it would be a best seller. Because, really, it was the combination of the people in the show that made it so great. Whoever chose those people to work together was a genius. Sad to say goodbye to Men in Trees.

Lori Says:

Cancelling Men in Trees is so typical of ABC! Remember the shows Invasion and Commander in Chief. ABC did the same thing to these shows. First they moved them to many different days, then took them off for extended periors of time, and eventually cancelled them because no one was watching. Well, we weren’t watching because we could not find the shows or they kept moving them to nights when other shows were on. Now they have moved Boston Legal. I won’t be watching ABC at night time anymore! Why waste my time getting interested in shows just to see them moved, then cancelled? The executives at ABC really don’t care about their network or the fans! What are they thinking???

Tom&Linda Says:

It’s a great show to bad ABC had to take it off.Why don’t you get ride of one of those junky reality show’s and bring Men Tree’s back.Thank you.

Michele Says:

I am very disappointed that ABC cancelled Men In Trees. It was a great show. ABC never gave it a chance. I am so sick of reality shows and dancing stars.

Lisa Says:

I just can’t believe that the show got cancelled. It was the most realistic show on TV!!!
HEY ABC WHAT’S UP. WE NEED THE SHOW BACK!!!!
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason Says:

I am sickened by ABC. First, Cavemen and now Men In Trees. All you TV execs can go straight to HELL!!!!!!

maureen Says:

this show was fun and decent, something most tv shows lack. i can not imagine why you cancelled this show. I am going to give up tv because whats left isnt owth my time!

RUTHANN CARTER Says:

I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU CANCELLED MEN IN TREES IT WAS THE BEST SHOW ON ABC I WILL NOT BE WATCHING YOUR STATION ANY MORE YOU NEED TO RECONSIDER AND PUT MEN IN TREES BACK ON OR I HOPE ANOTHER STATION PICKS IT UP

Heather Johnson Says:

I just found out that ABC cancelled my most favorite show! What is wrong with these networks???? One of the few shows I watch…I should have known this would happen,. It always seems like I find a show I like, then they move it around to diifferent day & time, take it off the air for a while, then put it back on & expect people to start watching it! I wonder what they will replace it with???? Maybe another dancing show or better yet, how about more “Batchelor” shows!!! The trash they keep on TV just amazes me! I have to admit that I am shocked that “Brother’s & Sister’s” was renewed….probably because there isn’t anything else on Sunday nights!!!!!

I hope everyone that reads this decides to contact other networks to let them know what a quality show Men in Trees really is….with a little luck, maybe one of them will pay attention.

Irritated in NC Says:

Seriously this is getting more than ridiculous! Everytime I get involved in an ABC show they pull it. I’m nervous about getting attached to another show or cast. Last year it was What About Brian, now Men In Trees. I agree with the others in that this was a nice relaxing, funny, get away with a great back-drop! I said to my husband earlier this evening if not for Grey’s Anatomy I’d boycott this network! I’m not getting into another show on this network…once Grey’s is gone – I’m GONE! The only way for ABC to survive pissing off so many is to STOP this stupid behavior, keep our show MIT and give it a chance. Leave it in a time slot on the same day each week and let it build an audience! For those of us who already LOVE IT we’ll be back! Get it ABC?

Margaret Says:

Ridiculous decision…abc wake up! I likewise hope another network picks this up and the sooner the better

Marge Says:

You have got to be kidding! What are the rejects at ABC thinking? Men in Trees was great fun, wonderful story line, all the actors were believable…what’s not to like. I’m sick to death of ABC and the way they shuffle shows around. NO MORE REALITY SHOWS OR DANCING AND SINGING!!

Patty Says:

I hate it that MIT was canceled. I really liked that show a lot and it was great fun!! ABC, why don’t you cancel something boring, mundane, and just plain stupid, like The Bachelor!! Give me a break!. Shows like that insult our intelligence. MIT didn’t deserve this but being constantly shuffled around to different days and time slots didn’t help a bit and no show would be able to survive being kicked around like that. Shame on you ABC!!

Lois Kuljis Says:

MIT is for the most part funny, witty, wholesome and entertaining. I’m in love with all of the characters. And their quirks! And I agree with others that ABC is returning some of the most stupid shows. Why can’t you let any of the ‘feel good’ series remain? Dispose of the Desperate Housewives along with the absurd reality shows and leave MIT alone. Then I’ll be happy. Abc…..You have flunked T V 101!!!!

JD Says:

I have never written on a site like this but I had to this time. I completely agree with all of the above comments about Men In Trees. It was one of the only worthwhile show on right now. I was so disappointed to find out that it was cancelled. It was my hour of escape…….

Jonell Says:

I thoroughly enjoyed Men In Trees and am extremely disappointed that it’s been cancelled. I have been a huge fan of so many shows that have been cancelled (MIT, Jericho, Invasion) that I will really find it hard to “get into” any new shows in the future for fear that they’ll get the axe too.

Debra Says:

I am sick of reality show, Men in Tree was the best thing for ABC this was clean, funny and warm show please bring it back.

Shirley Says:

I whole heartedly agree with the above comments — if ABC had established a regular time slot for MIT and not moved it around so much it could have been a top show. I adored this show! Devoted fans such as myself had trouble figuring out when MIT would be on TV and I missed an episode or two. Please bring back this delightful series and stick to a regular airing — if that were to be done, I do think ABC will be pleasantly surprised with its success. Give it another chance …

Ann Says:

ABC is, frankly, behaving as if it’s got a stick up its ***
I’ve had it with mind-numbing and society-damaging reality shows
MEN IN TREES was/is a fabulous show with smart, funny dialogue, great acting AND a fresh perspective
BRING IT BACK please and pick ONLY ONE TIME SLOT

Luica Says:

I’m in total disbelieve that Men in Trees was cancelled. What do we have to do to get this show back on the air? I don’t think that the Network actually realized how well like this little show is.

Diana Says:

I agree completely with the concensus that the hopping around of days and times for Men In Trees was it’s downfall. I missed half of the episodes since the show began, all because of programming changes. The show was never given a real chance to pick up viewership. I loved this program, told all of my friends and family about it, and made the boyfriend watch it when I could find it. :( Great cast.

Mary Says:

I adore Men In Trees! Please don’t cancel the show. It is one of the only feel good shows still on. We need happy tv too!
I love Men In Trees!
I love Men In Trees!
I love Men In Trees!
I love Men In Trees!
I love Men In Trees!

Dee Says:

I should have known that MIT would be cancelled. It was well-written, funny, heart-warming and clean. My husband and I looked forward to watching it whenever we could find where ABC had hidden it. Basically ABC murdered it by moving it around and putting it on hiatus for so long that its loyal viewers couldn’t find it at all. There is almost nothing worthwhile to watch on TV these days. I end up watching reruns – Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc. The networks just jerk us around.

Janiece Says:

I got to know the characters, the story line and really looked forward to watching the program, even though I had to follow it when it moved time slots. Now if you don’t like singing, dancing, watching a bunch of people loose weight and watching drama you’re out of luck. Men in trees was one of my all time favorite shows on. This stinks!!!!!!!!

Tracy Says:

THIS IS AWFUL!!! Just in the last week, I am finally finding out that my favorite show is cancelled. I more then agree with everyone else. This was my very favorite show! I LOVE Men in Trees! And I am very sad now that I will not be able to look forward to it every week. I also feel it was never given a chance, with all the time changes on it through out it’s run. It was one of the most well written, entertaining, good feeling shows on t.v. Every single one of the characters on Men in Tree’s were special. Great actors, actresses, and writers. I am going to miss each and every one of their stories. This is horrible. I can only pray that they will put this show back on the air, or another network will pick it up! Until then, or if it ever happens…….the show will be extremely missed!

fv Says:

I am so disapointed, I love that show.

Pat Says:

I am sick of every chanel showing all the different CSI’s. Let’s give up looking in bullet wounds and go back to clean, wholesome friends and lovers that Men in Trees signified. No blood, no guts, no good to ABC? Screw the ratings. Someone else should grab this group of fine actors.

Becky Says:

This was like my most favorite show on TV today. Interesting, silly, warm & funny. I’m extremely sad, but getting one step closer to not even wanting to turn on the TV, so maybe that’s a good thing??

Louise Says:

like everyone else, i loved Men in Trees from the very beginning. It is quirky in the tradition of Northern Exposure and Picket Fences.

i just sent off emails to people at abc (check the message board at MIT to find the email addresses) to try to have them continue the show. i suggest others do it as well.

Like others here, i am becoming dissillusioned with tv. Shows that actually have interesting characters get the ax.

Oh well, maybe we can all take a cruise to Alaska or start our own town of Elmo.

mindy Says:

wow, i was wondering why my dvr hadn’t been taping MIT and then to log on and do some searching to find out it’s been canceled. WAKE UP ABC. not everyone needs violence, crime, and gore. some of us really like romance, reality, fun, and wishful thinking….which is exactly what MIT offered. who are you people, at abc, that you are so disconnected w/your audience? why don’t you shock yourself and do something good, like putting MIT back on the air?

Tracie Says:

I am addicted to this show. I have never missed an episode, even when ABC kept messing with it’s schedule. It is funny, clean and just an all-around great show. C’mon ABC BRING IT BACK! You guys always cancel the good shows. The crappy ones are still on. At least give MEN IN TREES a fair chance.

Kim Says:

Booo! I love Men in Trees. It’s one of the few shows I watch :’(

Lynne Says:

What do we need to do to get MIT back? Does anyone know how we would go about it? Or how we would contact someone who has enough clout to get it aired on another station?

Lynne Says:

Great news. You can go to ABC.com and take their survey. Let them know you want MIT back. FLOOD THEM WITH YOUR OPINIONS.

MaryAnn Says:

Good Idea Lynne. Thanks. I just went to ABC.com and clicked on Contact Us and gave them a piece of my mind about cancelling Men In Trees. I don’t know if it will help bring the show back, but hey you never know. Everyone that loves MIT should do the same. Let’s try and get it back.

Michelle Says:

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that nother network picks up Men In Trees. It was a wonderful show. It just goes to show you that the network’s are pandering to the sickos in this world that only want to watch the stupid reality shows and the shows with violence, adultry, and sick humor. I guess ABC isn’t the network that I thought it was.

Nikki Hagins Says:

I am stunnned!! I absolutely love Men in Trees. It was thoroughly entertaining, and there were bits of the show that I feel that every women could relate to at one point in timein their life. I have been looking for it on the TV Guide channel hoping it would pop up and it never has. I am disappointed as well because there are a lot of other shows on this network that I don’t relate to that are still on. And for what, they aren’t very funny or even remotely as entertaining as this show. Maybe ABC could do something to make it up but this time I may just have to find some other channel to fall in love with. Because I was totally in love with this show. Thanks for nothing ABC!!!

Renee Says:

Why does every show I absolutely love is cancelled? Men in Trees is a terrific show. I hople abc reconsiders the cancellation. Please find a way to bring it back, Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Norman Says:

The best show in years…..Men In Trees…..unbelievably cancelled.

The idiot executives at ABC should be CANCELLED.

Maybe another network with execs with brains will pick it up.

Replace it with another stupid reality show ABC IDIOTS.

Anne Says:

Are they out of their minds!!! They have a good show with that many people watch and enjoy and they are cancelling it!!! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?

Anne Says:

Are they out of their minds!!! They have a good show that many people watch and enjoy and they are cancelling it!!! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?

Sharon Says:

I was totally in love with this show. Thanks for nothing ABC!!! Are they out of their minds!!! They have a good show that many people watch and enjoy and they are cancelling it!!! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?

abby Says:

ABC cancels Men in Trees but keeps According to Jim on the air. Are you kidding me???????

abby Says:

ABC cancels Men in Trees but keeps According to Jim on the air. Are you kidding me???????

kt Says:

Are you guys for real?? Most of us are sick and tired of watching reality shows. MIT was a fun and happy show. If it wasnt for my soaps i wouldnt be watching ABC at all and CBS isnt far away from being gone also when they cancelled Moonlite. Hopefully the WB will pick these shows up.

MITlover Says:

Seriously? Cancelled? Figures…..give us a program that is smart, funny and witty, not to mention the beautiful scenery and the exposure to a culture many of us will never experience. What’s up this ABC. …and LOST is still on. Hope CBS picks it up. Then they’ll have ALL the best shows. MITlover

WantRealTVBack Says:

Once again, the networks (ABC in particular) fail to keep witty, clever, beautiful writing on the air. It was so refreshing to watch something worth sitting down to watch! I am 36 years old and it is getting increasingly difficult to watch an entertaining, relaxing program!

You want cancel something, ABC? Cancel The Bachelor and The Bachelorette! I’d much rather see Cash with his shirt off than some 20 something wanting their 15 minutes!

debbie Says:

I absolutely loved this show and can’t believe it was cancelled!!! I hope against hope that ABC will reconsider or some other network will pick it up. It was addictive and I can’t believe I won’t ever know what happens to these characters.

PG Says:

Searching the web I see an episode of Men In Trees set for tomorrow. Can’t you see how many people love this show? I see some of the new fall shows coming out and I am not interested in any of them. Some are stupid, immoral, and not relative to anything else. Men In Trees has great characters, stories and leaves you feeling better about life and yourself. Please consider leaving it on and stop playing around with the changing times it’s on. Thanks

Connie Says:

Every week I have looked forward to Men in Trees. It is absolutely one of my favorite programs. The characters were unique and the stories warmed my heart.

It breaks my heart that the best programs are the ones that get axed first. Money; it governs all of television rather than keeping the truly unique programs that have a great story that captures those who learn to care about the characters.

I love Men in Trees. I feel that I have lost truly great people I care about as well as an hour during the week that I really looked forward to.

Star Trek came back after being cancelled. We need enough support to bring it back. We need everyone who loved it to let ABC know that we don’t want to lose it. Are you listening ABC?

Jessica Says:

I love the show Men in Trees. I hate that it is leaving the air. It is really the only show that I enjoyed watching, hey it’s the only show that I watched and was able to laugh. What is wrong with ABC? I looked forward to Wednesday nights, that was my one hour for me. Please, bring it back!

sandy Says:

Men in Trees was great. I looked forward to watching. I’m tired of reality shows. Let’s slow down and get back to nature. I loved it Bring it back, PLEEEZZZ

gail Says:

I’m mad there taking off men in trees it’s a great show! Every time they have a good show they take it off. If you hadn’t moved it around so much or took it off so off much. People couldn’t keep up where or when it was on. I’m about sick of reality shows! So please leave men in trees on!

dawn Says:

My husband and I watched a new episode last night . It was one of the best things I’ve seen on tv all season. We laughed, we yelled. How many scripted shows can you say that about. When ever we figured out the time slot ABC would move it. Thii sshow has a great cast and great writing. Whatv more do you want. In the age of 100 plus channels – everyshow can’t have huge ratings. Check out the summer schedule on ABC and see what wonderful programming the have in store- in other words utter c***. This is the reason we all turn to other forms of entertainment.

D.Starbuck Says:

I’m Totally Disgusted with ABC for cancelling Men in Trees. This is by far one the best shows for the 50-70 year old bracket. How dare they keep crap on the air like the Bacholorette and other reality shows that no-one in my age bracket can stand. I found it hard to find Men in Trees because they kept changing the day. They should stick with a Wed. or Thursday night time frame and leave it!!!!! ABC Sucks!

Susan Says:

What is wrong with you people at ABC? You cancel popular shows to put on junk that no one wants to watch. I thought ABC had more on the ball than the other networks but I was wrong. More people than you know love Men in Trees and if you would have quit fooling with the schedule, more people would have tuned in. Who is in charge there anyway??? I’m sick of getting into a program on “regular” TV only to have it jerked because someone decided for some reason to pull it. Thank goodness for Directv.

LR Says:

WHAT?!?!?!?! I can’t belive this! This was such a great show – my top of the list season pass! I had so many laugh-out-loud moments and was just thinking the other day that I can’t wait to see what’s on next season! I agree with D.Starbuck – ABC keeps running crap like the Bachelorette?!?! OK – that was entertaining the first couple of seasons! Enough already! What a huge disappointment!!

Karen Says:

I just read a news blurb about one of the stars of MIT and it dawned on me the writer spoke in the past tense…I had no idea the show was axed…just thought it was being jerked around all over the place like so many other ABC shows…never a good sign of what’s to come,
Men In Trees has characters like those in a novel about a small town…they really do grow on you and now I feel like someone has ripped out the last few chapters of a book I really liked!
Please do reconsider bringing back this wonderful show…agree with all of the comments made before about the lack of quality programming available on ABC…iwe need the diversion !

misti hall Says:

oh my god!!!!!!!!!! what is abc thinking? men in trees is great and i just read that october road wont be back either, i am so done with abc. october road was well written and had a great cast. i am sick of all this reality crap that not one time have i ever watched. from now on, im a cbs girl, screw abc and their piss poor judgement of what shows stay, which they all suck, and the great ones that never get a chance. bye bye abc, may your ratings suffer for eternity……………..

MaryT Says:

Finally found a show that we like, live through the writer’s strike and have to do a search for the day and time of the show every week to finally find the Men In Trees hour, this cancellation is a very disappointing thing. .

Dorothy Says:

This Just makes me so sick. MIT was the most unique show. I don’t generally get hooked on these types of shows but this one really caught my heart. This just makes me sick.
They did not promote this show like they should have because I talked to alot of my friends who had never heard of it. IT was just an awsome show and as someone said….. It was warm and fuzzy and that is not what selling right now….. which is why I don’t generally watch these types of shows. Just makes me sick.

Please rethink your decision…MIT is one of the few tv shows I really watch and love and wouldn’t ever miss one. It had such good reviews at first…what happened? It just got better and better every week. I can’t believe it’s being taken off, when there are much worse shows on your network!

Sally Says:

I am so disappointed that this show was cancelled. It was a wonderful show that had uniqueness and nice characters. It was a show that I could watch with my daughter and not be embarrassed.

kt Says:

What is wrong with ABC? Cancel MIT! MIT is one of the only shows I actually look forward to watching… One I actually stay up to watch. ABC will be losing a viewer.

Janeane Green Says:

No reason to watch television any longer when a decenct shows are continually cancelled. ABC should have never messed with the airing of this showThere are so many stupid reality televisin shows clogging up the stations. I though men in trees was a breath of fresh air. Sometimes a little far fetched but all in all something we could all relate to Unlike the women of wisteria way and lipstick jungle.

Linda Says:

I can’t believe MIT is cancelled. PLEASE bring it back.

Kelly Says:

STOP cancelling GOOD shows ABC!!!Seriously this is getting ridiculous! Everytime I get involved in a show they pull it off the air. I’m nervous about getting attached to another show or cast. Last year it was What About Brian, now Men In Trees. I agree with the others in that this was a nice relaxing, funny, get away with a great back-drop! Please keep our show Men in Trees and give it a chance. Stop the reality TV shows- it is overrated!!! I watch shows like Men in Trees to get away from reality!! I am so diappointed and sad!! PLEASE PUT MEN IN TREES BACK ON!!!!

heather Says:

i LOVE men in trees and cannot understand what the network is thinking! with all of the violent/crude/rude & ignorant serial shows on tv, and they cancel one the the best & funniest, heartwarming, authentic and creative. how can we persuade them to keep it on???

The ABC suits ( talking head idiots) have their heads where the sun does not shine! Yes, Men in Trees is a chic show, but HELLO….. we are the ones buying the products their sponsors are hawking!!!!!! We (all of my girlfreinds) are tired of reality show garbage. ABC get a clue and keep Men in Trees and get some decent programming. Eli Stone will now be THE ONLY SHOW WE WATCH on ABC!

Debbie Brooks Says:

I just can’t understand it. What is wrong with this network. A good decent
show with no boody shots or swearing.(Not needed to entice the audience.
Great story lines, and acting.
Everytime I get hooked on a program it gets pulled. I’m going back to reading books. And please stop with the commercials.I think last night episode had more commercials than show. Not fair.

Blind Network. No more reality shows please. Bring back Men in Trees..please

Melissa Says:

I am so sad that Men in Trees is being cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I truly loved the show!!!!!!!!!!! I am so tried of watching reality shows! This was the first show that I have gotten into on ABC in about 2 years or so. I understand that Abc has Desperate house wifes BUT NOT everybody cares for that show!!!! Please Bring Men in Trees BACK!!!!!!!! Annie must get back with Partick……..the ending of the show broke my heart from the very first show I awlays thought that Annie and Patrick made what a couple should be..loving each orther with all of their hearts! Please bring this show back!!!

Crystal Says:

ABC puts money before family values – clean shows will soon be a thing of the past. If they are full of adultry, gay rights, murder, drugs or teach criminals how to get away with a crime, they keep them on the air.

ABC should be ashamed of themselves.

Debbie Says:

I agree with all the comments. What a great show! ABC please reconsider.

Donna Says:

Please bring this show back!!!!!! You are making a grave mistake!

linda kay Says:

i am very busy and this is the one show i made a point of watching-for one hour you get to relax and enjoy a trully good show-the writers are awsome-this has got to be a big mistake-i hope another network picks it up-your loss ABC

Pam Says:

Can’t we have any family shows on TV any more? I am so sick of all the reality shows. My husband and I liked Men In Trees. ABC constantly messes with changing nights and time slots. A show is on, then it’s not for weeks. Why can’t they put a show on a certain night and time and leave it alone! ABC is the fault of shows getting poor ratings because of this. The 10 pm time slot really sucked too! I wish ABC would reconder for those of us who could care less about watching those stupid reality shows. Who cares about celebrity’s dancing, who can become a top singer or who the next top dancer, top model, american idol, survivor or whatever will be. We need tv to return to family type programs like Men In Trees!

Pam Says:

I totally agree with this comment I found below on the web!Just proves ABC is the fault of great shows getting cancelled. Put on a decent family show at a decent time, not the 10pm time slot, and leave it alone!

Comment listed on the web~
To little surprise, series creator Jenny Bicks was informed of the Men in Trees cancellation last week. She lamented to TV Guide, “I wish the show had not been moved six times and put onto two long hiatuses. No show could survive that.”

I can’t believe that Men in Trees is cancelled. I loved it, because each week, I could forget my troubles and relax and lose myself in this show. It was really a great show. What was the ratings? Were they really bad enough to cancel the show. Is there anyway we can get ABC to reconsider? I don’t know what I’m going to do without my Men in Trees! Please is there anyone who can help?

Melissa Jones Says:

Every show that has some type of meaning to it and not full of blood, guts, fighting, cursing is being canceled. This makes no sense to me and millions of other viewers I’m sure. You find a great show like “Men in Trees” and have a night of great t.v. and then its gone. I guest it’s true “Hollywood only wants trash” thats about all that is on television.

Patricia Says:

Quality writing, Quality acting, Quality setting! Characters we cared about. A beautiful place called Elmo, with quirky people. Most intelligent people found this show wonderful to watch. ABC had given us a great show. Then Wham! It was gone!! Who decided that the clever writing, the witty, thoroughly likable characters, and the quirky town of Elmo, Alaska should disappear into the abyss of “shows the public loves, but the top dogs at ABC don’t.” Whatever happened to the idea that television should entertain us, present us with enjoyable viewing, and give us genuine characters we cared about? We thought ABC had done just that with Men in Trees. Who is driving this bus? Certainly not the public. You challenged us each week with a new night, a new time slot, and 2 long hiatus’s. Still, we were devoted to this show. Who is the peabrain at the top who made this stupid decison? To say I am disappointed is an understatement. You people at ABC have lost your minds. I hope those responsible get the ax for this stupendous error in judgment. You have lost me as a viewer, and many of my friends. Please hire someone with vision, and especially a brain. Then maybe Men in Trees will be back, then so will I.

Mayka Says:

WHATTTTTT???? This is so sad. Men in trees was the only show on ABC that I truly enjoyed watching. The fact that I missed episodes from time to time was not so bad, because I would always catch up on episodes over the weekend…. ABC has reached an all time low.
I am going to start watching more cable from now on…. GRRRR

Maggie Says:

I am soooo sad they canceled this show! It was the only sit com type of show that my husband enjoyed too. Go figure. We watched it faithfully every week. We’re both very upset about this decision as we feel it was one of the better shows out there. Shame on you ABC. Maybe if you put it in a better time slot more people would have been able to enjoy it enough to keep it on the air. BRING IT BACK!!

Deb Says:

I’m so disapointed. I really enjoyed that show. I’m so angry with abc right now I am not sure if I’ll come back to it in the fall.

Nancy G Says:

I only watched 2 shows a week – and I just learned they cancelled one! what a shame. The networks don;t know what people want, only what we are forced to watch becuase there is nothing else on of interest. ABC made a mistake here… the shows were great. Way to go, ABC, once again you missed the mark…

Jule S. Says:

What will be waiting in the wings when WipeOut is wiped out? It’s mildly entertaining, but ABC is stretching each week to change it up a bit from week to week. WipeOut doesn’t bring you back with evolving story lines like Men In Trees did. And I am very disappointed we were left hanging. At least wrap things up nicely in the storylines before pulling it off the air.

Laurren Says:

I adored MIT from the very first episode. I don’t even watch basic programming anymore. It’s all about The First 48, re-runs of L&O SVU, CI, and the original. ABC changed the time slot for MIT so much that I had to scour the TV search guide just to see when it was on or to catch it online. If a show isn’t in a steady time slot then it gets screwed. Same as with Tru Calling on FOX.

I hate reality shows, minus The First 48, and I will turn the channel from any idol, dance, or talent show. If I wanted daily concerts, I would go buy a ticket. I don’t want to see that crap. MIT was a damn good show. I loved the characters, the plots, and the whole good vibe. I stopped watching Grey’s because of the non-stop drama Meredith seems to go through. I’m sorry, but no ones life is that damn dramatic is one short period of time. And yes, she is the lead, but must everything happen to her? Ka-putz! All crap shows.

MIT was my light in the end of a long, hard, and very stressful week. I do wish they would bring it back for a third season. I heard someone mention lifetime…I could see it on Lifetime. Take off the re-runs of Grey’s and Desperate and give some real entertainment. Especially since I think I am the only one who doesn’t watch Army Wives. Seriously.

Vicky Says:

I cannot believe that Men in Trees has been cancelled!! I watched it every week on Living TV in the UK!!! It had a perfect time slot in England….Why couldnt ABC get it right….?!? It was an amazing show!!
Whats gunna happen to Marin and Jack? And Patrick and Annie? ARGH!!!
Bring back Men in Trees!!!!!!!

Becky Says:

ABC is really getting annoying. They need to give Men In Trees a real chance. Just like the crappy shows that you’ve had on that get a timeslot and an opportunity. Men In Trees was different and something that the other networks didn’t have. They blew it!

Melissa Cole Says:

ABC – what is your deal? One of the best shows to come along in eons and you nix it !!! Apparently you don’t believe in your own handywork but then again money and politics must have gotten to you, huh? Unless it’s got “reality’ in the title or theme, guess it’s not gonna be aired on your network. I’m extremely disappointed and can only hope for a DVD to come out at which point I’ll just keep hitting replay and then make up my own happy ending.

Janiece Says:

One of the few programs that I always watched all the time and they cancelled it!!! I really enjoyed the program, watched the characters develope and they cancelled it!!!!!!!!! This teaches me not to follow another program on this station because it also may just be cancelled !!!!!
Men in Trees was well worth keeping on air.

Katherine Peterson Says:

Men in Trees was a great escape from all the rest of the junk on tv that you call worth watching. It gave me something to look forward to. Maybe if you would have advertised it as much as you do your other shows it would have done well. I realize we live in a sadistic society where most people like to see so called reality shows where people go to great lenghths to prove how tough they are, but that is not everyone. I thing I agree with one of the other people who replied. Just stop watching this station. You seem to cancell quite a bit of shows that you dont really seem to give them a chance. And then we are just left hanging. This just really sucks!!!

Russ Ivers Says:

WHAT???!!! I can’t believe that ABC would be so stupid. Men in trees wasn’t just any show, but one that everyone could relate to. I’m not much into those types of shows, however my girlfriend and I really enjoyed watching this together. There was something for both of us. How to we get it back ob the air??? I know that other networks have brought back shows, so how can we do it? Any suggestions???

Melissa Pennartz Says:

I can’t believe that Men in Trees is cancelled!!!! Maybe the numbers would have been better if you hadn’t been moving it around in times slots and days so much. I even missed a couple because of that. BRING IT BACK OR LET SOME OTHER STATION PICK IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Micah McMinn Says:

Bring back Men in Trees. It was a good show and compared to most of the “blank” on your station, it was actually good. Things like this is why most people I know are going to the other stations. BRING IT BACK

Faye Kelly Says:

UNBELIEVABLE…..ABC is out of touch with their viewers. Why would they cancel a show so beloved?? You really should give it another chance. Anne Heche is brilliant along with her supporting cast members. You would make us so happy if you could just give us one more season.

Denise Robertson Says:

I am so disappointed that Men in Trees was cancelled.
It was my favorite show and I so looked forward to it each week.
Please bring it back as we all miss the characters that we got to know so well

Denise Robertson Says:

I agree that I think the numbers were down because the show got moved around so much

Brandie Says:

I can not beleive that ABC cancelled MIT. This was my favorite show WHEN I COULD FIND IT! PLEASE ABC bring it back!!!!

Robin Kahl Says:

I am very upset that this show was cancelled. This was the only TV show that I actually liked and watched. I looked forward to it each week. If you had not moved the time slots so many times, maybe you would not have lost
your viewers. it was funny and uplifting. Give it another chance!

Leah of Abilene Says:

Truely dissapointing that this show was cancelled. It was a family favorite! Again another network makes a good show and cancel the show without a proper ending. We understand all shows must end eventually but at least think these things through so they have an ending. I would never want to buy seasons of this show on dvd without an ending. If it had ended Like “friends” then I would and enjoy watching it again and again. It is sad, that it makes you question watching any show when you can’t know if the network will just chop it.
Oh yeah what happened with cashmere mafia that looked good too.

I torres Says:

Men In Trees was awesome!!! Everything stated above is echoed by me. I am so bummed, it was one of the only things I looked forward to on TV.
Beautiful placement, great writing, dynamic though subtle cast, had a solid {oft times ignored} demographic targeted for its following- that would have only grown bigger and more solid with proper placement.

UGH! This sucks, I feel so jipped. That story was just evolving, it had so many intriguing places to go.
What’s gonna happen to that look on Marins’ face, sitting on the couch staring blissfully off into space?
Huh?
Huh?
What?

Dammit!

ANYWAY, PLEASE REHOME THIS SHOW!
I’D FOLLOW IT EVERY WEEK.

debbie Says:

goes to show how little the networks care about their viewers. we’ve been fighting to keep this show since day one, a show that makes you feel good, a show you wanted to watch and see grow. a great show that we need in this farce of a tv schedule that has no programs that are real I for one am tired of cop shows, reality stupid shows law and order and their twenty spin offs. abc, we don’t need to have greys on two nights in a row showing the same show we don’t need old reruns of northwen exposure we need men in trees and we need you to listen or sell it to a network that cares about it’s viewers nad dosn’t give up .shame on you abc once again for blowing us off again.

debbie Says:

abc and network tv has forgotten about the people that watch their shows and pay their saleries. I love men in trees it was the only show worth watching. I followed it whenever you moved it, delayed it for some stupid new preview that never came back after a couple of showings. You’ve lost me as a viewer of abc, I only hope some other network will pick it up maybe the wb they seem to have faith in their showes and viewers. shame on you for not caring about us.

MELISSA M Says:

I AM SO SICK OF ABC’S SHOW, THERE ARE SO MANY STUPID SHOWS, I HATE WIFE SWAP AND IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTIME I TURN ON ABC ITS ON, AND SAMANTHA WHO IS STUPID TOO. MEN IN TREES WAS SUCH A GREAT SHOW I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU STUPID PEOPLE WOULD TAKE IT OFF THE AIR. IT WAS ABOUT REAL LIFE SITUATIONS, AND SO DOWN TO EARTH. WHO EVER MADE THIS DECISION IS SOOO STUPID AND NEEDS TO GET THEIR HEAD OUT OF THEIR ASS!!!!!!

Yolie Says:

i think you guys made a big mistake… men in trees was such a breath of fresh air.. you don’t realize that people really connected with your characters… if they show this on another station, you can bet your booties that i will be watching, and so will alot of other people. Too bad for you guys.

patty Says:

Men In Trees was my favorite show of all times and that is saying quite a bit. Cant believe it wont be coming on this fall. Am hoping some station might pick it up. There are very few shows I am even watching now. Very very disappointed with its cancellation!

TB Says:

Well of course Men in Trees was cancelled. There has to be room for a dozen shows about how someone was killed, or about to be killed. Or a dozen more of “reality” shows. Don’t know about everyone else, but none of those come close to MY reality!! This is why I don’t pay for cable or satellite and watch PBS. Now I’ll never know what happens in Elmo. All hail the All Mighty Dollar!!!!

Tisha Says:

I sincerely agree with each and every comment from above, and it is October and people are still writing in about Men in Trees. What is wrong with you, ABC? You have to know that Men in Trees is a great show for fans to still be writing in about it. You really need to reconsider your decision and bring it back on the air. It has such a following of loyal fans and you have to know that it would have gotten more fans then you could have imagined, I am sure. I would also like to know who has the power of deciding what shows stay on the air and what shows are cancelled. Because all they are doing is abusing the power they have and they do not know what they are doing and do not deserve their job. I could go on and on about this but I am sure that it will not do any good. It really does not make a whole lot of sense, does it?

Jules Says:

Maybe if enough of us keep this going on bring Men in Trees back I think the idea of anther network picking it up is a great idea. I’d follow for sure. Canceling Men in Trees was a huge mistake, like some of the other people said it didn’t have any killing going on, no reality and it was okay for a tween to watch. Bring it back or one of yu other networks pick it up. If possible I’m going to suggest that to Lifetime or Oxygen or any one of them anyone care to join?

Starr A Says:

I can’t see how they canceled this show, it was awsome. I think that canceling Men in Trees was a dumb move on the networks part. I love the show and have missed it since it has been gone. I hope another network picks it up.

Sheila Says:

Well ive been waiting and waiting for Men in Tress to come back on and now i know why. That really sucks !! Take off some of the other crap like wife swap and bring back Men in Trees

Sheila Says:

Well ive been waiting and waiting for Men in Trees to come back on and now i know why. That really sucks !! Take off some of the other crap like wife swap and bring back Men in Trees

Sue Says:

You’ve got to be kidding me!!! I’ve been waiting for MIT to come back on for Fall and are you serious? Last season they said “Don’t worry everyone, we’re not going to cancel it” Now it’s back to being cancelled!?? I said it before and I’ll say it again – the ABC exects who made this decision should be fired. Maybe I can talk to my cousin who is an exec on another ABC show and see if he knows anyone who can help……

Erin Says:

It’s great to hear that so many other people loved Men in Trees. It was definitely one of the best, if not the best, shows on TV. it’s so true that the networks don’t give the good shows a fighting chance. So many shows are cancelled after only a few episodes….how does that give the networks a true measure of how a show is doing? A show like Men in Trees draws in the viewer in the first five minutes and they’re hooked forever. Please bring the show back or at the very least, release it on DVD. ABC, if you’re going to cancel an awesome show like this, at least make it available on DVD for the die hard fans to watch over and over again.

Tina Says:

I really loved men in trees,I think it was a stupid decision to cancel the show… That was one of my favorite shows and I was waiting for it to return, but now NO!!!! this sucks… ABC really needs to get their act together… And come on give us back Men In Trees, it was a good wholesome show….I am very disappointed…

Bonnie Says:

ABC SUCKS……GIVE US BACK MEN IN TREES………….IT WAS MY FAVORITE SHOW!!!!!!! BRING IT BACK..BRING IT BACK….

Tania Says:

I am so bummed to hear Men in Trees is no more, I LOVED it and it was my favorite show since Northern Exposure. Please bring it back!!!! Maybe another network?

Mary Says:

I am sad to hear that MIT’s has been cancelled yet totally ridiculous shows stay on the air. I guess that either the network or the majority of viewers are not intested in heartwarming stories with non violent characters. Hopefully another network will pick it up. I believe there is still a good size audience for this show.

Rilley Says:

Oh man I can not emphasize how UNHAPPY I am that ABC cancelled MIT. This is/was my FAVORITE show, it was actually the first show that I looked forward to every single week (when I could find what time and day it was being showed). Are you serious?! All these stupid over played and over hyped reality shows, who gives a crap about them! Has anyone noticed that thats the only crap theyre putting out now is stupid freakin reality shows??!! Why because your too lazy to keep up with all the writing and producing and directing of an amazing show with depth, good actors/actresses, a beautiful setting and story line?!?! I am not watching your network anymore thats for sure, and the least ABC can do is release MIT on DVD so all of the many MANY people who enjoyed the show can watch it at home. You know since you decided to screw around with the show and move them around so much that it never gave the show a chance to continue building a loyal fan base?! Yea ABC you are ridiculous. Keep just thinking about money and thats it, its what you do best.

cheryl Says:

way to sad to find out men in trees will not be back on this year!! 2008.
this is my favorite show too!
i know!!!!! its frustrating when a decent show comes on and pulls ya in and then the networks pull it!
my sister and 5 of my best friends all watch this too. im not a big tv watcher, but this show i always tivo’ed to make sure i see every one of them!!!
ill really miss this show!

Cort Says:

I only have one thing to say. This is unbelieveable….canceling “men in trees” and ABC is still airing “lost”!???!!!! REALLY??!!!? Of all shows to cancel and they picked one of the BEST shows on ABC. This is outrageous!

Susan Says:

SOMEONE!!! ANYONE!!! BRING IT BACK!!!
