And I don’t like it. The official title for the second film based on the popular FOX TV-series is to be THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE. Aside from the fact that it’s yet another example of Hollywood’s obsessive fixation on colons, it doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, now does it? Now before fans of the show criticize me, I was myself a pretty hardcore X-Phile, and am fully aware that the title comes from the famous poster in Mulder’s office. And sure, the title is a nice gesture to devoted fans, and it fits well with the idea that the film (according to Chris Carter) “involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science.” It’s just, I don’t know. X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE? Really? I’d even prefer X-FILES 2 over that. Then again, they could call it X-FILES: MONSTER MASH and I’d still probably see it. On that note, it’s now been officially confirmed that the movie hits theaters on July 25th.

You are right Tv addict X Files 2 has more of a ring than X-Files: I Want To Beleive. Its lame. But no worries it wont stya that way, some one will come to their senses and change it

Linda B. Says:

Gillian Anderson w/ long hair in this photo makes her look younger than she did on the series.
