Still reeling from NBC’s shabby treatment of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS? Well, we’ve got some exciting news that may put a smile on your face. No, FNL has not been officially picked up for a third season and unfortunately Ben Silverman has not been fired from his post as Peacock President. But trust us, this is almost as good.

Frequent TV Addict interview subject and all around nice guy Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins) has just been cast in the new WOLVERINE movie as Gambit.

According to Wikipedia, Gambit is “a mutant that possesses the ability to manipulate kinetic energy as well as limited hypnosis. He is also skilled in card throwing, hand-to-hand combat, and the use of a B?.”

Now all that’s left is to find jobs for the rest of the Dillon Panthers. Anyone else thinking Smash would make a mighty fine Green Arrow?
