Great moments indeed. I can’t wait for LOST tonight. I just can’t wait to see Claire’s reaction about Charlie. That moment made me cry which I won’t spoil for those catching up. =)

I’m a sucker for what you might call “majestic” moments — moments of great triumph or great sadness, the profound moments or moments of pure nostalgia, the ones almost always accompanied by powerful music and little or no talking (all this may explain why I’m such a Babylon 5 fan).

Anyway, one of my most favorite moments was late in season 1 when Michael had finished the raft, and he, Walt, Jin, and Sawyer were ready to depart. There was a lot of hugging, a lot of goodbyes, a little bit of crying, even a dog running after his master and being forced to stay with others. And, then the aerial shot of the raft leaving the shore, the sunshine reflecting off the water, and the anticipation of what wonder or danger the “rafties” may encounter next. Now, that was good television.

I actually liked that even better than the forthcoming shock of having Walt kidnapped and the boat blown up.

These are some great moments on such a great show! I think one of my favorite jaw dropping moments was when Ben had Sayid, Jin, and Bernard “killed” Watching the emotions of Jack thinking he had just let three of his friends die was amazing!
