I LOVE this show!
Michael C Hall is amazing. The whole cast are great, and the storyline and dialogue keep me addicted. I’ve just watched the last of season 2 and can’t wait for more.

On the subject of editing - maybe it will have the same effect when cut, maybe not. All I know is, I would rather see it as originally intended, and I’m glad that it was shown that way in the UK.
CBS plan to show it after the kids should be in bed, for adults who presumably know how to change channels if they don’t like what they see or hear. So why edit at all? If CBS viewers can’t handle Dexter in all it’s glory, they don’t deserve it!

I’ve got the first season on DVD and watched the first couple episodes, but it still hasn’t gotten me addicted yet. I do plan to watch the rest on DVD instead of on CBS though.

Aleks, Unlike other shows that rely on gratuitous swearing (THE SOPRANOS) and sex (SEX AND THE CITY) I actually think DEXTER will do great on broadcast cable.

It’s not the blood and gore that makes DEXTER so addictive. It’s the story-telling, writing and acting.

I don’t know. I think a lot of what makes Dexter so great is that it’s on Showtime, where it can get away with a lot of grisly, unsettling stuff. I probably won’t be able to watch it on CBS without thinking: “This is not Dexter.”

But then again, maybe I’ll be surprised.

I JUST watched the episode with the Ice Truck Killer reveal last night (and I had a tiny inkling of suspicion beforehand, which I had convinced myself was wrong). I can’t wait to get home and see what happens next, though…

Michael C. Hall is my new favorite actor! I love him! I just bought the entire series of 6 Feet Under, because I thought he was amazing as Dexter and he doesn’t disppoint.

That’s awesome! I have the 1st season on DVD & the 2nd on my ipod. But I’ll still watch it on DVD. Are they starting with the 1st season?

discovered this show for the 2nd season and it’s the BEST show on tv..well written, well acted..just excellent…I can’t imagine how different it’ll be on network tv. BUT I’ll be able to catch the first season, so I’m psyched! sheindie

I also converted because of this Website, and I am currently working through the first season… I can’t wait for it to come to network TV… hopefully the editing won’t ruin the show though!!
