With Entourage getting Golden Globe and SAG nominations, I cannot believe Adrian Grenier or Rex Lee are serious when they say the show is in danger of not returning at all if the writer’s strike is not settled soon.

Maybe we just won’t have new shows til 2009.

Glad Kevin Dillon and Jeremy Piven got nods.

Kevin Connolly was overlooked again, because he has the “honor” of playing the straight man to a group of comedians in a comedy.
He is so good at playing the everyman role- the Bud Abbott to a gang of Costellos- that he get’s overlooked every time.

As always, Supernatural is absent. Let’s not even start with Criminal Minds. On the other hand, it’s just incredible how Grey’s Anatomy and Sopranos are always present, uh? How about that sad, historically incompetent Tudor? Pffft. House is my only favourite this year, and I hope he wins for the third consecutive time.

There are some good noms in there, but for me they’re outweighed completely by the snubs. Nothing for Friday Night Lights, Battlestar Galactica, HIMYM, The Office (other than best actor), Lost… Insane!

I certainly hope that Michael C. Hall wins best actor for Dexter. The man deserves it.

And as much as Grey’s Anatomy is highly addictive, it was pretty bad last year and is still not up to par to its two first seasons. A show like Dexter surely deserves the nomination more. Plus, Katherine Heigl as the supporting actress choice for GA AGAIN? Her character in the past year has displayed two main emotions: self-righteous and self-pitying. I think Katherine Heigl is a talented actress, but just going on the past year of Grey’s Anatomy, someone else (like Chandra Wilson or Sandra Oh) deserved it far, far more.

So basically the HFPA is trying to get cool points by nominating shows that are “different” and “original” or even “ground-breaking” rather than shows that are actually worth watching. The HFPA seems more concerned with being diverse than actually nominating deserving shows.

Where is Lost? Friday Night Lights? HIMYM? The Office (other than Steve Carell)?

Wow, such a strange list this year, especially with the high cable/premium channel content. I watch hardly any of those shows.

I was disappointed with Damages, don’t like Pushing Daisies, and have always thought Grey’s Anatomy was over-rated. So, I’m not thrilled with the nods for those shows.

The *only* nominations I can even relate to are: House, Sally Fields, Hugh Laurie, America Ferrera, Rachel Griffiths, and William Shatner.

oh i forgot………..SERIOUS SNUBS THIS YEAR

FNL: where was the shows nomination including nods for everyone on the show

HIMYM: again great show no credit shown……i love NPH

Dexter: this is the BEST drama on tv, take that Damages

Samantha Who?: the rest of the cast is funny if not funnier that Christina

And im sorry but David Duchovny and Californication……….what a waste of a nomination

It has become cliché now….another year, and one more time that The Wire gets absolutely no love, when considering this is the BEST SHOW EVER!!!!

Every critic knows it, every person who has seen it knows it, hell even God knows it! But hey, this is showbiz! And like high-school, showbiz is about popularity right?

Guys, the first 4 seasons are on dvd, check it out. Season 5 January 6th! HBO!
