Their numbering system just has a glitch. Tomorrow night is the final episode that was produced in their production season 18. Their system must have just read it wrong. Anyways, there is 22 production season 18 episodes, with the first one, (SI-1901) Funeral for a Fiend, airing November 25th

Could somebody please explain to me why The Simpsons isa haveing its series finale now? I read that animated comedies like The Simpsons produced their episodes up to one year in adavance. According to several sources the show had already finished its 24 episodes for this season…so why ending the season prematurely???
