I was just thinking about this schedule, and it seems to me that fox has made some very VERY stupid decisions.

Firstly, regarding new programs:

In this strike period lull all of our favorites shows will be in reruns. Why not take advantage of this less competitive period and put everything out there. Putting shows on a friday night seems incredibly foolish. Networks are struggling to get decent ratings on a Friday night as it is, what makes Fox think that once tv turns to garbage people will be inclined even slightly to stay in on a Friday night to watch tv? Why not take a more aggressive route and launch the new shows post AI. For all fox knows, they could have the next big hit on their hands and they are putting it on Friday nights to die a slow painful death (although it IS fox so maybe not so slow). I mean, why not? It isn't like they have new episodes of a current hit to put in all of the good timeslots.

Secondly, regarding current favs:

Why separate a great pairing? House and Bones go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly, so why split them up. I realize that there are only a limited number of episodes remaining, but why not go on a media blitz of sorts and advertise the two hour House/Bones combo.

The networks should not roll over and die from this strike, they should use it as an advantage to push whatever remaining shows they have to new levels in order to gain viewers. I just hope that the rest of the networks DO NOT follow suite with fox, and announce creative schedules that make the best of this bad situation.

wow ... this is the beginning of the end ... if all of the rest of the tv schedules I may have to unplug my tivo and sit crying in the corner ... or you know ... find something productive to do with my time >__<

The fact that they're actually moving Bones to Friday blows my mind. It deserves better treatment!

:sobbing uncontrollably:

I knew it was coming, but damn this breaks my tv loving heart. I was going to get a much needed Soul Patch fix and now it seems that won't happen for another year or so.
