Random TV Tidbits for a Monday

April 23rd, 2007

In a recent interview with the London Telegraph, X-FILES star Gillian Anderson had this to say when asked about the possibility of one day returning to TV, “Oh, shut the [bleep] up! Are you kidding me? My God, I don’t even watch television. I don’t like television. I never have liked it. The whole concept of sitting down in front of a TV feels like one of the things that’s destroying society, as far as I’m concerned.” Interestingly enough, when Anderson was on the X-FILES, it never seemed to bother her that she was making millions off the thing she now claims is ‘destroying society.’

The biggest mystery on Thursday’s Hollywood-themed episode of SUPERNATURAL didn’t have anything to do with demons, ghosts or spirits haunting the set of ‘Hell Razers II’. The question on every fans mind was how on earth did Sam and Dean escape from the clutches of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour? Having taken the WB tour myself, I truly believe you’re more likely to see an actual ghost with your own eyes than successfully escape from the ever watchful WB tour guide. Believe me, I tried!

Ugh. I saw that interview. As an X-Files fanatic, I have this to say, Gillian…shove it, sideways. And maybe if you are so worried about how horrible our society is than go out and do something about it, ACTOR, since all of us TV watchers are heathens responsible for all of the world’s woes and you are so obviously superior.

Cory Says:

Gillian did Bleak House in 2005.

Common Sense Says:

Constanza say: “If you’re bleak….you’re bleak.”

Amber Says:

Muahahaha! I myself tried to dodge the WB tour, strangely enough trying to hide out behind Luke’s doesn’t work…. *sigh*

Also, less wanting to watch X-Files now… :/

X-MHfan Says:

Still a huge fan of The X-Files and Agent Scully. But…eww….Gillian? She’s beginning to get on my nerves. Absolutely depressing. She needs to take a chill pill.
