Addison Checking out of Seattle Grace?

Reuters is reporting that ABC has decided to try it’s hand on a spinoff of its uber-popular medical drama GREY’S ANATOMY. The spinoff will star Dr. Addison Montgomery-Sheperd (is it still Sheperd?), with a two hour pilot being set to shoot in May. Looks like those dreaming of an Alex/Addison relationship are in store for a serious letdown.

An ABC spokeswoman could not immediately be reached for comment. But here’s one from theTVaddict.com: Although we love Addison and are thrilled she’s getting her own show, we were somewhat hoping Dr. Burke would be the first regular to exit Seattle Grace.

Is this story for real? i had to check my calendar and make sure it wasn’t April 1st already. I think this is a terrible idea. The thing that makes Grey’s Anatomy work is the relationships and interactions between all the characters. You take one out of the picture and put them on their own, and it will not work.

Anyone remember Joey?

although i love GA and addison, i dont want that to happen, especially if it means her leaving GA.

I dont want Addison leaving the show, I love the interaction of all the characters if someone should leave it has to be Dr. Torres..
