An Inside Look at THE CLASS

January 16th, 2007

the class live

Attention TV Fans: CBS has posted the live table read of THE CLASS that was recorded on Monday. Whether you’re a fan of THE CLASS or television in general, the live table read is a fascinating look at the inner-workings of a modern day sitcom.

It’s great to see networks (like CBS) take the initiative and start interacting with viewers in unique and original ways. Here’s hoping that this was just the first of many interactive events to come.

Lord knows NBC’s servers wouldn’t be able to handle the amount of people wanting to watch a live table read of THE OFFICE. I can only imagine what ‘Steve Carell brilliance’ is left on the cutting room floor.

Click here to check it out via CBS INNERTUBE.

That was so fun! Lots of spoilers about stuff that has happened in episodes we haven’t seen yet. The video stopped on me 3 or 4 times and I had to move the bar to where I was, but all in all, it was terrific. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to watch the next set! Yay. :D

Were you able to watch the table read on the cbs site?
It would only show me the cbs promo and then stopped there every time.
I’m assuming its because I live in Canada, and none of the American network sites allow me to watch their shows.
Could you get it to work up here in Canada?

Love your site and podcast by the way. :)

Dear Lisa,

First off, thanks for the kind words :)

As you may or may not know, I too live in Canada. While I couldn’t watch the live table read (as it was PC only and I’m on a MAC) I had no problem watching the archived version on CBS’ Innertube.

Try it at cbs.com, let me know if it works.

Lisa Says:

I tried it again and it didn’t work so I switched to Internet Explorer from Firefox and now it does.
Should’ve thought of that before.

Thanks for the help!

Jenny Says:

Yeah, I used IE, not my normal Firefox.
