[...] What started off with one of the most promising pilots in recent memory quickly devolved into a weekly Sorkin lecture on politics, religion, the war, censorship, etc. STUDIO 60 essentially became that ‘very special’ episode of THE WEST WING where the cast dealt with the aftermath of 9/11. Which if you remember the episode, is not a good thing. [...]

[...] STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP (10PM, Debuts Sept. 25) He’s taken us behind the scenes of SportsCentre and the White House. Now with STUDIO 60, viewers will get a chance to see creator Aaron Sorkin’s much buzzed about take on the behind-the-scenes antics of a late-night TV show (not to be confused with Saturday Night Live). Says Sorkin [to EW], “It follows the SNL model, but SNL exists in the world of the show. The characters, like us, have a great deal of respect for SNL.” Not willing to risk failure, Sorkin has brought along an old ‘friend’ to star in the vehicle, hiring Matthew Perry (FRIENDS) as head writer of the fictional Studio 60. Joining Perry is an all-star ensemble including Bradley Whitford, Amanda Peet, D.L. Hughley, Steven Weber, Nate Corddry, Sarah Paulson, Evan Handler and Timothy Busfield. With a dream cast and Sorkin at the helm, STUDIO 60 seems destined for success. Having seen the first episode, this TV addict is ready to declare STUDIO 60 his favourite show of the fall, let’s hope America agrees.
Sadly, Warner Bros. has pulled the pilot off YouTube. Maybe it wasn't all their idea to leak those pilots after all.

Caught the pilot and now we have a great replacement for West Wing. It was fantastic. Fast paced, great tracking shots and all the Sorkin banter we expect. Lots of good surprises and tons of depth. Whitford, Perry and Busfield are all stand outs BUT the best surprise was the beautiful and endearing Amanda Peet. I never thought I would write this but she is extraordinary in the pilot. I will love tuning in to wtahc her and her performance. Big kudos to a great performance from Steven Webber as well.

The fact/fiction crossovers are a lot of fun. No doubt this is one all TV Addicts will love.

Like the West Wing I waill be tuning in with anticipation each week.

Yes, no TV site or blog is going to tell you to right out where and when to find deemed illegal content. But I would say it's strictly a don't ask, don't tell kind of think.

Not to promote the illegal downloading/watching of TV shows before they air, but if you search around the net you can find the pilot episode lurking about. Again, not to encourage anyone, but there is a site with the word 'tube' in it that you may find it at - also rumour has it, that the pilot is floating around the torrent sites as well.
